JENASENSORIC Association has been founded in 1990 and is located in the high-tech region of Jena in Thuringia, one of the new German federal states. The association has 24 members coming from economic and scientific institutions and 15 foreign members coming from 14 countries. The latter ones act as multiplicators for a worldwide interconnecting net of activities. The scientific board ensures a high standard of the research and development niveau.

The main research fields are sensoric technologies: sensor construction elements, modules, devices,  systems, theory, integration, application. JENASENSORIC has especially developed new applications in the area of „intelligent multisensoric“ for SMEs. The innovative products, techniques and services are labelled by high  competence lines for these intelligent multisensorics as technology line for non-silicium materials.

The company offers and supplies a wide range of microsystems and sensors such as SENSACTOR® (sensor- and actor integration of  thermo-, gas-, bio- and ions-sensors) and dSd-Mikrosystem® (optoelectronical sensor-actor-designs).

Demonstration examples of modern miniaturized sensoric multisensors in card-format are available as Multogas- SENSORiCCARD®, Multiopto-SENSORiCCARD®, Transport-SENSORiCCARD®, Structural dynamic-SENSORiCCARD®. Furthermore services for biomagnetic sensoric are offered.

JENASENSORIC is involved in several regional and national research networks like   „Bio- and Material Sensorics“ and „Intelligent  Sensorics“. It cooperates with research and industry partners in South, East and West Europe, China, USA, South Africa.

The yearly international workshops held in Jena about „Microtechniques and microsensors  for analyses in ecology, biology and medicine“ take place with the target to offer new applications and miniaturized sensoric solutions for SMEs. Future RTD activities aim to develop new instruments in the hand of physicians for  telediagnostic and teletherapy with chipcard sized patient by use of measuring instruments containing SENSORiCCARD®.

Dr. Renate Reisch will be the RTD manager and member of the Project Coordinating Commitee. She works as research scientist  and has long-term experience in the management of RTD projects. The scientifc know-how concerning sensor technologies  will be contributed by Dr. Horst Ahlers and Prof. Guenter Loeber as senior scientists.

The company has 10 permanent staffs and part-time staff are general students and scientists from foreign countries between 3 and 5 persons per year.
