IPM is an experiences project manager for international projects and has extensive experience in usability studies, market analysis and exploitation activities for emerging technologies. Specialists in evaluation and implementation of new technologies and experienced from over 15 years of participation in R&D projects, ranking from ESPRIT/RACE, FP5 and EUREKA projects to implementation of R&D in larger companies.

 

Currently participating an IST project, IN-MOVE, contributing exploitation and dissemination. Leader of the WP concerning the issue, market analysis is included in this activity. Currently managing an EUREKA project, B-WARE, and also contributing in the project activities on usability and market analysis with leadership on issues concerning market related activities. The project will soon go trough a transition from project to company, exploiting the technological results.

 

Information technology and biotechnology is the current target areas for managed projects within FP5 and EUREKA. IPM have earlier been involved in activities within e-health and have an experience in diagnostic and trauma products in cooperation with Danish hospitals.

 

IPM posses experience in usability analysis, exploitation activities and project management. The project management has been developed to include IT based supportive tools for the projects like web-based databases and interfaces to relevant background information for the participants. Project management tools are available for PatiMon both in respect to experience in the reporting to the EU commission, e.g. progress and cost, and in electronically supported tools for the project.

 

The major technological input from IPM will be participation in activities concerning pervasive computing and it management technologies. IPM possesses the abilities for both development and implementation, and has managed projects that were purely scientific and projects where a common exploitation was implemented and venture capital established.

 

IPM will contribute management resources to the PatiMon network and will participate in the project on issues concerning usability, exploitation and dissemination.

Bruun will contribute to activities especially in relation to the reporting to the commission and the IT tools to the project.

Birte Kastrup Rasmussen.  Cand. econ. (Master of Economics), University of Århus, Denmark (1982). Studies of economics and statistics, University of Wisconsin, USA (1981).

 

Experience in marketing research, product testing, user requirements and market analysis from professional activities in IPM Management A/S, in Tele Denmark (and subsidiaries incl. DanNet, 1986-1998), DONG (Danish Oil and Gas, 1984-1986) and Danish Agricultural Board (1982-1984). 13 years of work experience with the telecommunication industry within areas of product and marketing management and project management, including market surveys and usability studies. Member Esomar (European market research body). Management experience from set up of new business, management in a large organization and project management. Experiences in evaluation of development projects and implementation of project results. Participant in several international projects.

 

As Marketing Development Manager for IPM further experienced in market analysis, user requirement and usability studies, project set up and project management. Participated in more EU projects under ESPRIT, RACE, 5th Frame and EUREKA programmes.  Currently managed market research within the ON-AIR project, now the ON-AIR company, IN-MOVE (5th frame programme project) and project manager of B-WARE (EUREKA project). Manager of several other development activities based on commercial contact to Danish companies.

 

Chairman of the Board of the subsidiary B-WARE Aps, based on current R&D project on wastewater treatment and re-use. Board member in Predium, a commercial company.

From1981 management of IT projects for the companies IBM and ControlData. From 1987 manager of the international project management department for Fischer & Lorenz A/S. Establish the international department of Fischer & Lorenz A/S in Brussels.

 

In 1999 founded IPM Management A/S, focusing on international project activities, involving traditional management tools, legal set-up of international consortia, fund raising and product/market surveys.

 

As manager for IPM experienced in project set ups and project management, specialised in IT projects. External manager for Danish Mail on IT development for Post offices.  Manager of several EU projects under ESPRIT, RACE and EUREKA programmes. Member of the Board of the subsidiary ON-AIR A/S, a company based on a successful EUREKA project on video surveillance.
