TEKNIKER is a R&D non-profit private company with 30 years of activity, whose corporate mission is to help industrial companies become more competitive through technological research, development and innovation. In particular, industrial sectors that TEKNIKER serves are those involved with manufacturing production. Specifically, this includes Machine- tools, Ancillary automotive industry, Aerospace, Energy generation, Petroleum and its derivatives, Metal processing, Mechanical capital goods, Large scale scientific equipment and instruments and Electronics.
Furthermore, TEKNIKER has been participating actively since 1988 in co-operation projects under the successive framework programmes for scientific and technological development drawn up by the European Commission.
Production & Information Engineering Department is experienced in manufacturing applications, offering innovative solutions in the areas of product, production and service. Our department's main work areas are:
*   technologies for product and process development: collaborative development, Knowledge Capture & management, concurrent engineering, cost estimation, CAD-CAM, CAPP...
*   production organisation and management: quality, integrated plant management, simulation, industrial reliability, availability, maintainability and safety, maintenance, logistic,...
*   manufacturing systems: service to the user, productive systems control, monitoring, diagnosis, technical assistance service, ambient intelligence ...
*   innovation: knowledge management, e-learning, EFQM,...
At this moment we are involved in a specialisation project in the area of RAMS parameters which aim is to apply reliability, availability, maintainability and safety concepts during products and process life cycle in the industrial environment. In addition, there exist a multi-department cluster for the improvement of RAMS parameters in manufacturing, with focus on diverse areas such as Manufacturing Processes, Mechatronics & Precision Engineering and Production & Information Engineering.
Tekniker is member of the European Safety, Reliability and Data Association (ESReDA) established to promote research, application and training in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS).
In this sense, the objectives of CARiMan coincide with TEKNIKER´s technical objectives, previous work in these directions, and the development strategy of the Production & Information Engineering Department.
On the other hand, TEKNIKER is participating in ADMAN (G7RT-CT-2001-05060) a thematic network in Manufacturing Excellence in the Process Industries. The objectives of the project are to bring together virtually, a powerful, aligned group of technical experts from across the member states to support the Process Industries in improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing operating costs and increasing the effectiveness of associated value chains.
Thus, we have contact with companies that may be interested in this kind of solutions.
I know that this information is very general but I hope it can give you an idea about our work. There is also a web page where you can get more information: www.tekniker.es <http://www.tekniker.es>
In any case, do not hesitate to contact me for any information request.
Yours sincerely

OR: Occupational Risk environment.

There exist a multi-department cluster for the improvement of risk management in manufacturing, with focus on diverse areas such as Manufacturing Processes, Mechatronics & Precision Engineering and Production & Information Engineering.

Regarding the occupational risk environment our contribution will come from the process industry since we are participating in ADMAN (G7RT-CT-2001-05060) a thematic network in Manufacturing Excellence in the Process Industries.

Regarding nuclear accidents we have contact with the CSN “Consejo de Seguridad nuclear” (Nuclear Safety Council) and the WANO: World Association of Nuclear Operators.

As I told you in my previous email Tekniker is member of the European Safety, Reliability and Data Association (ESReDA) established to promote research, application and training in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS).

We will also interested in participating in B4.3. Activities to spread excellence (D4: Publications and D5: Advanced Training Services).
